About This Hotel
Solio Lodge Is a unique and mind-blowing rhino viewing experience. It offers intimate and luxurious gateway to outdoor adventure at the foot of Mount Kenya. It is the only accommodation on the incredible 45,000-acre Solio Game Reserve/ Solio Ranch Conservancy which is nestled between the lofty slopes of Mt. Kenya and the peaks of the Aberdare Range. The lodge is about 4 hours’ drive from Nairobi, by air, scheduled flights from Nairobi into Nanyuki Airstrip followed with a short transfer to the lodge.
The Lodge has 5 individual cottages with the 5th cottage being a family unit which has 2 en suite bedrooms sleeping up to 5 people. Each cottage is very large accommodating 2 adults and 2 children in extra beds (Extra beds on request only). Each cottage has a private lounge area with an open fire, vast floor to ceiling windows frame, private deck with panoramic views of the nearby hills and Mount Kenya.
Diner is served in the cool evenings which offer cozy affair with bonfire, low light, and candlelit tables. Guests can sit around the large fireplace and get to exchange stories of the day as they enjoy cocktails. Guests can also enjoy spa treatments like massage services and other beauty treatments.
